The 2020 Ford Explorer Aims to Add a Bit of Sport to Your SUV Experience

700 × 250

The Ford Explorer. The consummate family SUV, it's been the vehicle of choice for thousands of drivers all over the country for years now. When people think of it, they picture lots of seating, great features, and the versatility to handle anything your average week might throw at you.

With the 2020 Explorer, Ford is hoping you'll start thinking of "fun" too.

Launching new with the 2020 Explorer lineup will be an all-new ST trim. Designed to deliver a higher standard of performance, it will provide everything you expect from the Explorer and so much more.

What kind of "more?" The horsepower kind. Equipped with a specially configured 3.0-liter EcoBoost engine, the Explorer ST will be capable of 400 horsepower and 415 pounds-feet of torque. That will feed a more responsive and athletic performance, with a top speed of 143 miles per hours.

700 × 250

The best part? The ST will lose nothing in terms of comfort, equipment, and safety. It will still be the seven-seat family hauler that Painesville and Chagrin Falls drivers love. It will just have that extra touch of power for those moments when you want to cut loose.

Does that sound like the kind of experience you want for the roads of Chardon? Get in touch with the sales at Preston Ford and let us know. We'd love to bring you in, talk to you about our new Ford inventory and finance options. We can also put you behind the wheel of a new Explorer for a test drive.
